The beautiful Nag Champa tree grows to the height of 100 feet in a triangular shape. People of India regard the tree highly and frequently plant them near temples and ashrams so that all may enjoy their elegance. When in bloom, the tree is showered in golden blossoms and is a sight of radiance and flawless beauty.
While Nag Champa is a famous brand of incense, its name's true roots come from a Hindu and Buddhist perfume oil. This oil is created in Hindu and Buddhist monasteries of India and Nepal and has a unique floral scent.
Nag Champa is made of a sandalwood base where several different flower oils, including the flower of the Champa tree, are added.
Every monastery has a unique method in making the oil; no one outside of the order knows the secret recipe.
